Hi I have gotten a problem with the stepper on my Y-axis, it has been running perfectly up until a few days ago when in the middle of a program it seemed like the y-axis was stuck. Took everything apart and checked but couldnt find anything wrong. put it back together again and the stepper still wouldnt move it. With no power on there is no problem turning the stepper by hand and moving the table so nothing is stuck. Uncoupled the stepper from the axis and it runs, hooked it up again and it ran for a little while but you never knew which direction + moved it + one time and then suddenly - the next with no system to it. Sometimes it runs the right direction sometimes the wrong direction and suddenly all stalls and it cant pull the table at all.
I have tried to switch to the driver for another axis to check if it was a driver problem but still the same.
Anyone experienced something similar to this? and is there something I can do to fix it other than getting a new stepper?
I am using this setup.
