How do I compute for Interest Charges?
Interest charges on regular purchases is computed by multiplying the applicable finance charge rate depending on the card type with the average daily balance (ADB).
The ADB is determined as follows:
a. Multiply the previous statement balance with the number of days that the amount is outstanding or unchanged.
b. Whenever there is payment, deduct the payment from the statement balance and multiply with the number of days from the payment date until the next statement date or statement date.
c. Sum up the balances computed and divided with the number of days from the previous to the current statement to arrive at the ADB.

Interest charges on Special Installment is computed by multiplying the total amount availed by the applicable interest rate, depending on the term. Monthly payment shall first be applied to interest then to the principal using the diminishing balance method.
How can I avail of Cash Advance?
For new and replacement cards, Cash Advance PIN will be sent through the PIN Mailer after the card is delivered.
For existing Cardholders, they can request by calling BPI Phone Banking at (02) 889-10000 (Metro Manila) or domestic toll free 1-800-188-89100 (available to PLDT subscribers).
Note that Cash Advance is subject to a fee of 3% of the cash advance amount or P500, whichever is higher.
What are the available payment channels to pay for my BPI credit card?
If I made a payment today, when will it be posted?
Via Branch Over-the-counter. For cash payments, payment posting is on the next banking day.
For local check payments, payment posting will be after the third banking provided check payment was done before clearing cut-off.
*Note that clearing date may vary depending on the type of check, whether local or regional.
Via Phone Banking/Online Banking. For payments done during banking days before 10:00 PM, these will be considered as same day transactions and will be posted on the next banking day.
For transactions done between 10:00 PM and 12:00 AM, on weekends, and holidays, these will be considered as next banking day transactions.
For payments made on the following channels, posting date will be after (3) banking days:
a. SM Bills Payment Counters
b. ECPay Merchant Partners
c. Bayad Center Stores and Bayad Center Merchant Partners
Can I pay my statement balance on or before my cut off/cycle period?
No. To avoid possible finance charges or penalties, clients are highly encouraged to pay on or before the their due dates.

Currently, BPI Credit Cards only support Chip and Sign.
When transacting in a country that has a high issuance of chip and pin cards (eg. Europe, Australia, Singapore, Japan, Korea, and other Asian countries) your BPI card will still be accepted as the POS terminal will be able to identify that the card you presented (Philippines issued card, not a PIN enabled country) would need a signature instead of a pin.
What is Mastercard contactless?
Mastercard contactless use radio-frequency for making secure payments. This technology enables transactions to be made by holding the card against a radio-frequency (RF) equipped reader terminal. You can tell if a card is Contactless enabled if you see the logo below.
How does a Mastercard contactless card work?
Simply tap the contactless card against an applicable Mastercard contactless Point-of-Sale (POS) terminal. The purchase will then be authorized, processed, and billed in the same secure way as other transactions. No swiping, inserting, or signature is required for transactions not exceeding two thousand Philippine pesos (Php2,000). For transactions exceeding two thousand Philippine pesos (Php2,000), just tap the card and sign the charge slip.
What are the benefits of Mastercard contactless transactions?

Yes. Your BPI Mastercard contactless card can now stay with you when paying, hence, limiting fraud and unauthorized use.
Which credit cards are embedded with the Mastercard contactless technology?
Currently, only the BPI Blue Mastercard, BPI Family Credit Card, and BPI SkyMiles Regular Mastercard Credit Card are embedded with the Mastercard contactless technology.
How can you avail of the new BPI Mastercard contactless?
All new, replacement and renewal cards will automatically be the new BPI Mastercard contactless Credit Card.
What if I want my card to be contactless? How do I request for it?
You may request for a card replacement, but will be subject to card replacement fee of P400.
Where can you tap your contactless credit cards?
BPI Mastercard contactless credit cards are accepted across selected branches of different merchant categories.
Just look for the Mastercard contactless logo and inform the cashier that you would like to pay using your BPI Mastercard contactless, tap the card, and transaction is done.
